How can I help?

‘#How can I help?’

These words ring so close to both Marcy and I, and we are so insanely overwhelmed and grateful by the immense outpouring of offers from everyone. Ranging from driving us places, to helping us with dogs, to Nate and Lee who recently installed stairs for me to be able to get in and out of the house so much easier without the risk of falling in addition to mowing our yard.

This page is meant to serve as suggestions and identify specific needs and overall general help we could use during this new phase in our lives.

Please do not feel obligated to do anything that is outside of your comfort or financial means. If any clarity is needed, please send us a message via the Contact page.

For those of our friends/family who live out of state:

We would appreciate gift cards to either Shipt, Grubhub or Amazon.

Help offset costs for healthier eating (fruits & vegetables) from the grocery store.

Help offset costs for not being able to plan/make dinners.

Help offset costs for things around the house to make mobility for me a little easier.

For our family and friends who live nearby:

-Help with things like mowing the front and back lawns once a week, placing the trash and recycling cans at the curb on Sunday nights and bringing them back in on Monday afternoons would help a TON. When we mow the lawn, it usually takes us about 30-45 minutes. We have a working mower and a can of gas for anyone that is able to stop by and knock this out.

If anyone is able to drop off requested some comfort items that we love, appreciate and have a hard time finding at the grocery stores:

Rice crackers for gluten intolerance

Tangerine La Croix (my favorite)

Pamplemousse La Croix (Marcy’s favorite)

Babybel cheese (those little red cheese circles)

Avocado spread from Costco

The last 2 items are food items that are quick snack/food recharge items that help both of us recharge, keep for a long time and also help with fold intolerances. Otherwise ready-made meals that we can freeze and are gluten/shellfish-free are appreciated.

Lastly but not least - if anyone feels inclined would like to make a financial contribution, we would appreciate it. I will be going on short-term disability very soon and while I won’t be working, the income will be decreased. We have some funds set aside for such emergencies but if anyone would like to - the easiest way will be to just Venmo Marcy - her venmo tag is Marcy-Elder.

Thank you all in advance for everything from well wishes, prayers, and anything we’re able to receive help with in the coming weeks and months. We love you all and we will get through this, together!
